Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is well-known for her parts in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her career in showbiz early. Her roles included lead characters in dramas on television as young as 16 years old. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge in Downfall. This film won an Oscar and won critical and commercial great success. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning diva. Alexandra is known for her involvement in many notable projects, both in the United States and internationally. They include the British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historical mini-series Napoleon as well as other miniseries. She was also an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
